Intland Software hosted its first-ever conference for medical device and pharma product developers on 27 September 2017. Professionals gathered in Stuttgart to exchange ideas and to discuss medical and pharmaceutical technology challenges and solutions in an increasingly digital, value-based healthcare market. Following in the footsteps of our user conference earlier this year (which featured talks by Bosch, Brose, Audi, AImotive, Lufthansa Industry Solutions, and TÜV Nord), Intland's Medical and Pharma Conference 2017 was yet another successful event.
Exploring Medical & Pharma Technology
Intland's Medical and Pharma Conference 2017 featured insightful presentations by Adesso, Vector Software, and pharma process control consulting company Controsys.
After an opening talk by Janos Koppany, CEO of Intland Software, our keynote speaker Sarb Singh (CEO of Bozee Technologies and former Director of Patient Care Software at Medtronic Neuromodulation US) hopped on stage to deliver his brilliant talk about Building Innovative Medical Technology with Agile. The presentation addressed the shifting role of health software and new principles of product design in an IoT-connected healthcare IT environment. Later on in the afternoon, Sarb went on to host an excellent workshop session about Agile and compliance in regulated development, which received very positive feedback from our attendees.
This medical software topic was followed by a talk about Pharmaceutical Process Control & Compliance. Kalman Keresztesi, CEO of Controsys, addressed questions of compliance with the regulations of GAMP®5 (the Good Automated Manufacturing Practice) in pharma development.
Further strengthening the conference's focus on quality and compliance, experts from Vector Software (Ingo Nickles) and Adesso (Thomas Starke) gave talks about Software Testing for Embedded Medical Devices, and VDI 5702 (Medical SPICE) compliance. The workshop and Q&A session was followed by Intland's summary of our Agile Development Trends Survey carried out this summer, and an analysis of the lessons learnt during our Agile Summer Classes webinar series.
With insightful talks, good conversations and networking in the breaks, and a chance to engage with leading medical and pharma experts, Intland's Medical and Pharma Conference 2017 was a great event that received positive feedback from speakers and attendees alike. Let us say thanks to all our guests for joining us, we hope to see you again at our upcoming events!
