Following up our participation at a series of trade shows and conferences this year including REConf, Embedded World, Medtec, the Automotive Testing Expo, as well as a variety of other events, it was time for Intland Software to once again host its very own annual User Conference.
Taking place on 7 July, Intland’s codeBeamer User Conference 2016 was a day of meeting industry leaders, sharing knowledge, and discussing the skyrocketing importance of integrated ALM with the growing codeBeamer family. With over 70 guests mainly from Germany and Switzerland representing leading companies from a range of industries, the User Conference was yet another successful event.
Guest talks at codeBeamer User Conference 2016
Our guest speaker Stefan Kokemüller from FESTO, a world leader in factory automation, showed the audience how FESTO integrated codeBeamer with SAP, thus enabling the centralized management of service tickets. The integration is based on SAP SOAP and codeBeamer’s REST API, and allows the organization to transfer tickets from SAP to codeBeamer, thus ensuring traceability from request to deployed feature in a large-scale installation (at FESTO, over 3500 users are relying on codeBeamer in their daily work).
Nicole Repp from Lufthansa Cargo and Dr. Hagen Schorcht from Lufthansa Industry Solutions gave a great talk on business process requirements management with codeBeamer ALM. The company created a process with the aim to ensure transparency and the management of dependencies as well as to enable the reuse of requirements while reducing costs, and ensuring the centralized management of all work items. The framework titled CARMA (CArgoRequirementesMAnagement) helps them increase productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction while reducing costs and development time. At Lufthansa, over 5000 users are working with codeBeamer ALM.
In addition to these insightful talks by our guests, Intland Software’s team also demonstrated codeBeamer’s capabilities in a variety of use cases. We have discussed how Agile may be used in the safety-critical sectors of medical device development and the automotive industry. Following a short overview of the latest features of codeBeamer 7.9, we also gave a preview of our ALM solution’s upcoming version 8.
Next on the agenda was a discussion of codeBeamer’s integrations, including DOORS (through ReqIF), as well as its support for automated testing using Jenkins xUnit and Selenium. Adam Whitmill of MathWorks gave an overview of codeBeamer’s MATLAB Simulink integration. Questions of scalability, DevOps, and Continuous Integration were discussed, furthering our audience’s knowledge on the many ways codeBeamer ALM could support their development processes.
Finally, during a “tech talks” session, our 70+ guests from the automotive, medical, and aviation industries were able to ask all their questions and discuss processes, workflows, API, integrations, and more. A host of insightful questions were discussed, giving current and prospective users of codeBeamer ALM a chance to find out how they could best take advantage of its new features and capabilities in their own development structures.
Join us at MedTech & Pharma, and MedConf
